LFW SS13: Adam Andrascik

One of the many fabulous things about #LFW is leaving the fashion cauldron that is Somerset House courtyard and escaping to a nearby space (usually a luxe hotel or member’s club) for a smaller, more intimate presentation. When we hopped over to the Royal Society of Arts for Adam Andrascik’s presentation, we were greeted by a gorgeous selection of sharp, simple and distinctive separates. Sharply-cut monochrome shapes demonstrated a mature and commercial thinking, but each item featured subtly-placed sheer panels, playing with the idea of transparency in a minimalist way. One particular pullover was rendered in a soft white metallic silk that made it practically edible, like a glorious, tasteful, more upmarket Quality Street. With careful deployment of detailing and simple styling, Andrascik’s presentation was a masterclass in understated edginess.
