Club Beat #75 – EVENT: Sinners ‘Ibiza Legends’ @ McQueen, 5th Oct

As those days spent chilling and chatting at Bora Bora and nights spent sweating at Space seem but a distant memory, Sinners are giving us one last chance to recapture our wild nights on the white isle. Get down to McQueen in Shorditch on Friday 5^th October for a night of decadence and sinful sessions, with an all star line up including Jeremy Healy, Graeme Park and Alex P.

Ace of Clubs Promotions and Sinners DJs’ ‘Ibiza Legends’ party bring you the guys that have been pleasing the crowds for many years, not just in Ibiza, but also across the globe:

-       Jeremy Healy is an Ibiza legend, fashionista and DJ to the world’s top clothing designers, including Dior, John Galiano and Gwen Stefani (LAMB). His career took off after producing the hit, Everything Starts With An E, which was inspired by his first visit to Ibiza. He was voted #1 DJ by both The Face and Mixmag in the mid ‘90s. His love affair with Ibiza has continued, seeing him return year after year as a resident at clubs like Es Paradis and Privilege and mixing several Ibiza-themed CDs. He will be gracing McQueen’s turntables for a much anticipated exclusive London set.

-       Graeme Park is one of the Hacienda DJs of yesteryear. He has spent over twenty five years behind the decks. He was there before it all started, he was at the forefront of the dance scene when it was at its zenith and he’s still there, still rocking it, years later. As the man himself says, “The reason I keep doing it is simple: it’s my mission in life to let people hear good music.” This will be Graeme’s second ‘Ibiza Legends’ event for Sinners, after he wowed the crowds in Cape Town and Durban last year.

-       Alex P is a legend on so many levels. Ibiza helped shape his reputation in several ways: after holding a residency at Amnesia, he then became a resident at the newly opened Space and, after working there for a few months, a moment of inspiration changed the clubbing world. Alex put some decks behind the bar of the Space chill-out area and called it ‘The Full Moon Terrace Bar’. You know the rest from there… Alex continues to get worldwide bookings as one of the senior statesmen of house, making millions happy with his wicked DJs sets.

Joining these legends are the Sinners DJs: Ed Smoove, Matt James, Dharkfunkh and Miteshi Joshi.

To add some suitably sinful fun to the proceedings, we’ll be doing our best to drink the bar dry, with a little encouragement from the Sinners crew. They will be holding a ‘green beast’ hour at the artists’ table at midnight where selected VIPs will be invited to drink from the absinthe fountain supplied by Pernod Ricard. Also, Lovoka will be serving welcome drinks to people that arrive early, so make sure to get your free taste of South Africa’s newest and very exclusive chocolate/caramel vodka liqueur. Lovoka drinks promotions will be running all night.
