Due for release September 28th and October 12 respectively, Sony have announced two new slimmer models of PlayStation 3.
The already available first reinvention of the Japanese gaming giant’s most recent home console features a 500GB harddrive and sizes in at 20% smaller than current slimline PS3s – pretty impressive considering its harddrive is almost ten times the size of the original console.
A second revamped console – due out late next week – will also feature an additional 12GB of flash memory; an even bigger squeeze into an impressively compact console and one that eschews any issues of portability and space into the ether.
With an ever-expanding number of titles released for the console – now coming into its seventh year – and big hitters still on the horizon including Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Assassin’s Creed III and All-Stars Battle Royale, it seems there’s no end in sight for Sony’s modern day gaming juggernaut.
