Review: Damian Lazarus’ Rebel Rave

All summer long the Rebels have been trotting the globe, gracing glamorous locations like LA, Berlin, Barcelona’s Sonar Festival and Miami with their deep sound experiences. Last weekend was London’s turn for Damian Lazurus’ Rebel Rave; taking the capital back to his ‘grassy roots’ for a perfect autumn night at a secret location; The Sidings Warehouse in London Bridge. As ever, Lazarus had gather a stellar DJ booth packed full of talent – Acid Pauli, Tim Xavier, James What, Lavelle and of course the himself headlining. As soon as we walked through the doors, the Sidings was already rocking to Aidan Lavelle’s set, and the warehouse walls  were pounding with energy. By the time Damian came on, all we could see was his hat bopping intensely in the distance between the lights and hands beating with uplifting sound. As the night climaxed around us, we submitted ourselves to his musical genius; creatures of the night being led on their underground journey. It was the perfect raw warehouse vibe, the rooms were filled, and the excitement was abundant into the depths of the night. LWE made rave history yet again!
