The most anticipated week in the dance music calendar is upon us. Yes, the Amsterdam Dance Event has started and Toolroom are celebrating with the release of their ‘Toolroom Amsterdam Essentials 2012’ and ‘Toolroom Records Amsterdam 2012’ compilations, as well as their night at Panama this Friday 19th October.
Celebrating dance music’s most revered annual music conference, Toolroom Amsterdam Essentials 2012 is a crucial selection of much loved originals and remixes designed to inspire any conference attendee or festival goer heading to ADE. The compilation touches on previous releases with Save The Robot’s Angry Bot from the boundary-pushing Rhythm Distrikt 02 and Morgan Page’s remix of Reuben Keeney’s Give It Some Time, which we discussed in our interview with Reuben at the start of the year. It also allows the Toolroom faithful who have attended a fair few TK nights to reminisce a wee bit, with Mark Knight’s Together unequivocally being the soundtrack to many a TK event at Ministry and Ant Brooks & Diavlo’s Flex, from Toolroom Ibiza Underground 2012, taking us back to the Leaders Of The New School night at Warehouse in September. This is a concise collection of some of our favourite tracks and favourite memories. And we’re certain Toolroom’s night at ADE will give us plenty more unforgettable moments.
Fresh from their sell out sixth birthday tour, Toolroom Knights hit Amsterdam’s club Panama on Friday 19th October to bring the good people of ADE an enviable line-up of the hottest DJs. Mark Knight will be joined by favourites Tocadisco, Manuel de la Mare and Stefano Noferini. And we just can’t wait to see Federico Scavo and Mihalis Safras behind the decks. Finally, Toolroom residents Mark Storie, Pete Griffiths and George Andrews complete this unmissable line-up. In preparation for the night at Panama, Toolroom’s third annual Amsterdam compilation, Toolroom Records Amsterdam 2012, brings together the hottest tracks from the best of the worldwide talent headlining the event. The album kicks off with Holland’s own Rene Amesz’ collaboration with regular Space resident Camilo Franco, Get This – there’s no doubt this track is rockin’! Marco Lys’ Walk on Fire and Federico Scavo’s House Music are firm favourites and Koen Groeneveld’s 2012 remix of Ditsjz will get those who attended last year’s TK event talking; let’s hope it’s played at this one! With seventeen exclusives, this compilation gives you the opportunity to capture the vibe of Amsterdam’s annual Dance Event with one single collection of future house anthems.
So, if you can’t join Toolroom in Amsterdam, you can certainly get your hands on the soundtracks. What a week for dance music!
