Introducing: Mykki Blanco

Ahead of the release of her debut mixtape Cosmic Angel: The Illuminati Prince/ss on November 7, New York rapper Mykki Blanco has unveiled the video for ‘Haze.Boogie.Life‘, which will feature on the mix. The clip – which you can watch below via Pitchfork’s YouTube channel – switches between several of Blanco’s different personas; ranging from a violent street youth – baseball bat in hand – to a dancefloor diva and a backseat limo rapper. Musically, it’s a cutting, braggadocio-heavy track that’s nastier than a night out with Attila the Hun. It perfectly reflects her multi-faceted, in-your-face style, which her forthcoming mixtape will hopefully flesh out even further.
