Club Beat #116: Preview: Neon Noise Project @ Fire, March 9th

The full line-up for Neon Noise Project’s upcoming night at Fire Vauxhall on 9th March has been announced. The event will feature Lindstrøm live as well as Marc Romboy, Russ Yallop, Foamo, Fort Romeau and Warm DJs, joining the previously announced Booka Shade.

Let’s have a closer look at this line-up:

Hans-Peter Lindstrøm: Headlining room 2, Lindstrøm will perform tracks from his latest album, Smalhans, live for the first time in London this year. Being raised on a diet of country and western music in the remote oil town of Stavanger has resulted in this producer approaching electronica through an alternative and unique path. This interesting take on dance music has been championed by the likes of Gilles Peterson and Francois K. This is going to be a very special performance.

Marc Romboy: One of our favourites, this prolific techno/house producer has been heavily involved in the global techno scene since the early ‘90s. Having founded leading tech-house imprint Systematic Records in 2004, as well as releasing three artist albums (Gemini, Contrast and Luna), it’s no surprise that Marc is so widely respected worldwide. This is a set we’re really looking forward to!

Russ Yallop: One of the true leaders of the nu-school and a fully-fledged member of Crosstown Rebels, Russ has honed his production skills and received support from prominent members of the deep house community, from Jamie Jones to MANDY and Radio 1’s DJ Heidi.

Foamo: With releases on Carl Cox’s Intec Digital, Moda, Trouble & Bass, Fat! Records and Digital Soundboy and summer long residencies at Space Ibiza, Foamo’s unique take on house and bass make for one very versatile DJ. Following his stellar set at the last night, the Neon Noise Project team just had to ask him back!

Fort Romeau: Inspired by the likes of Air, Autechre and classic Chicago House, Fort Romeau fuses warm analogue sounds and haunting samples to produce a lush, deep sound with loose percussion that makes the body move.

Warm DJs: Rounding up this exceptional line-up are Warm DJs, stalwarts of the London deep house and disco scenes.

So there you have it, a varied line-up for a big night out. And with over half the tickets having already been sold, get in quick to get involved!
