BEAUTIFY: A Good Foundation

On Beautify- we often talk about skincare. But what about when you want a bit more coverage? Foundations provide an overall perfected look, and allow you to hide all the minor flaws on your skin.

One of the best foundation launches this year is the Teint Visionnaire from Lancôme. A re-design of the already hugely popular foundation, but with the added addition of the High Coverage Corrector in the lid, whose creamy texture helps cover up dark spots, under eye circles and imperfections before applying the flawless foundation. This is the best foundation for an all over made up, fully flawless look. £36

Another big launch this Spring comes from Revlon and their Nearly Naked range. What’s great about this foundation is that it does just that- gives you a perfected coverage without looking heavy- or even like you’re wearing foundation at all. (Especially great with girls who like freckles to shine through). The liquid melts right into the skin, plus it’s got SPF20 in – two birds. £8.99_MG_6059

Perhaps the least obvious brand for a good foundation – Rituals – whose skincare range we all know well and love. The foundation is a pleasant surprise- with a light texture made up of Pure Minerals making for a smooth application. £19

Last but certainly not least comes from make-up and foundation favourite NARS. With an extensive range of shades, the Sheer Matte Foundation covers all sins without a heavy look or feel. Combining coverage and skincare benefits, the oil free soft-matte-finish absorbs excess oil and includes antioxidants to protect the skin from free radicals throughout the day. £30.50
