News: Kit Neale x Bompas & Parr

This summer, renowned ‘architectural foodsmiths’ Bompas & Parr are transforming Kew Gardens with their spectacular Tutti Frutti installation. Celebrating the surprising world of edible plants as part of the Summer 2013 IncrEdibles Festival, the culinary curators have created a dramatic display that provokes viewers to think again about the food they eat everyday. The star attraction of the event, Kew’s Palm House Pond has metamorphosed into a giant fruit salad boating lake, featuring a floating pineapple island at its centre; beneath which lies a secret banana grotto. As part of the installation, which runs until September 1st, London-based designer Kit Neale has designed a stunning capsule collection for the staff uniforms. In true Neale style, the uniforms bear bold statement prints in vivid colours, adding a glorious flourish to an already thrilling sensual experience. Somebody please hire me, I need a pair of those apple-print shorts!!
