News: Hurts announce new single – ‘Somebody to Die For’

Previous Notion cover stars Hurts have just announced ‘Somebody To Die For’ to be the third single off their latest album, Exile. Released earlier this year through Major Label, the band’s sophomore effort peaked in the top 10 in 30 countries. They have now reached over 2,000,000 sales worldwide, and sold over 250,000 tickets on tour.

Due for release on July 21st, ‘Somebody To Die For’ follows Exile singles ‘Miracle’ – which made waves on Radio 1 and a performance on the Jonathan Ross Show – and ‘Blind’ – which was Radio 2‘s Record of the Week and was also performed on the Graham Norton Show. This latest single is sure to garner at least the same level of attention, with dramatic, passionate verses building into a huge emotional chorus; all in the signature sound that has won the band its worldwide following.

Hurts recently announced a UK and European tour for October and November, which follows their sold out Spring tour earlier this year. Kicking off on October 25th at Manchester Apollo and October 26th at London’s Troxy, it’s set to be their biggest tour ever, with 19 dates in total so far, plus more to be announced. Hurts will also play a Saturday night headline slot on Glastonbury‘s John Peel Stage, and perform on the Sunday night at Lovebox festival.
