#PFW SS14: Julius

Julius designer, Tatsuko Horikawa, is renowned for his dark aloof style, and he certainly did not disappoint at Paris Fashion Week this time around. For his SS14 collection, Horikawa has stuck to his signature monochrome palette – but tenuously working around seasonal style conventions some sleaves were shorter for warmer months. Harem pants, cowl-necked jackets and tops were prominent garments on the catwalk, alongside intricate leather and suede jackets. Tailored looks in black & white geometric prints injected some fun into the collection, whilst maintaining its shady-sophistication. The styling included carefully smeared white face paints — similar to previous Julius lines — supported the combat-esque feel of the collection.
