Auchentoshan presents… The Taste Experiments

Auchentoshan whisky is offering a series of events in London to help embrace your inner scientist this summer. The events aim to add something unique and unusual to a traditional whisky tasting, and are hosted by master blender and chemist Rachel Barrie, cocktail genius Ryan Chetiyawardana, coffee & taste experts DunneFrankowski and food experimentalists Rebel Dining Society.

Lets begin by running over the pronunciation of Auchentoshan; it’s  ock-un-tosh-an. The Single Malt differs from others, as it is distilled three times, allowing the liquid to absorb every possible characteristic from the wood as it matures. Customers will be educated in three key parts within the masterclass: First, an education into taste and flavour; Second, how to taste whisky and customise cocktails and thirdly investigating fermentation, distillation and maturation through food. In London, the classes are set to be held in the Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green on Wednesday and Thursday, 24th and 25th July. Tickets are available here.
