ChockABlock bass party back for one night.

ChockABlock, the club night previously held at London’s EGG nightclub, is back for a single night at Hoxton Square. Featuring some of the best DJs in grime, house, techno and dubstep (including Logan Sama, Ungle Dugs and Spooky), the night is hosted by Skullcandy to launch their new Crusher headphones which will be available to try out on the night.

Chockablock is the brainchild of underground tastemaker Joseph ‘JP’ Patterson (MTV, Vogue, NME). Patterson spoke to PlanetNotion about the event: ‘I’m extremely excited to be bringing ChockABlock back. For the last two years, when I put the club night on the back burner, people have sent me countless emails, tweets, and Facebook messages about putting another event on. Now, I’m just following through with their requests.’

When asked about further events, Patterson had exciting news: ‘I will hopefully be doing another event in September with Skullcandy, which will be ten times bigger!’

This will be the first ChockABlock date in almost 18 months, the last one taking place towards the end of 2011. The club night was founded in Northampton in 2007 and went on to be a monthly London date for three years.

ChockABlock will be at Shorditch’s Hoxton Square on August 15th. Entry is free.
