Introducing our BOTW: Swim Deep

With their long-awaited debut album, Where the Heaven Are We, seeing release next week on Chess Club/RCA Victor, Birmingham four-piece Swim Deep might just have stumbled upon the formula for the perfect summer record. Full of breezy guitar parts, monumental choruses and infinite danceability, it runs the gamut from big-hitting singles (‘King City‘, ‘Honey‘) to the more bittersweet, introverted moments no rock record should be without (‘She Changes the Weather‘, ‘Soul Trippin’). Don’t take our word for it though, check out Where the Heaven Are We‘s latest single, the re-released ‘King City’ – out today, also on Chess Club/RCA Victor – below:

What’s more, today we’re offering you an exclusive first listen to a fresh remix of ‘King City’ from London-based producer wunderkind Fryars, aka Ben Garrett. Here, he turns the original’s anthemic sing-alongs, soaring synths and military drums into a glitch-laden, indietronic affair; one that’s rife with mutant vocal clippings and skittering beats. In short, a real headphones gem.

Where the Heaven Are We is available from August 5 on Chess Club/RCA Victor. ‘King City’ is out now.
