Boardwalk’s new video for ‘I’m To Blame’

Boardwalk are the L.A duo of Mike Edge and Amber Q. Their new video for single, ‘I’m To Blame’ is taken from their forthcoming self titled album set for release later this year.

Mike and Amber recorded the upcoming album, ‘Boardwalk’, at their homemade studio in Los Angeles. With an origonal 2-inch tape machine recorder used on early Motown recordings, and an arsenal of mics, pre-amps and hand crafted consoles, each track was recorded in one take with no overdubs – just the way they intended it to sound. For what modern day recording effects they opted not to use in the studio, Boardwalk have certainly made up for in the new video for ‘I’m To Blame’. The vivid colours scream out on camera, and the sad narrative of a couple’s efforts to salvage a fragile relationship is portrayed throughout the clip. A kaleidoscope of fuchsias and coppers are painted over scenes, while Amber’s ghostly vocals weave throughout winding guitar lines. ‘I’m To Blame’ is one of ten tracks set to feature on ‘Boardwalk’, slated for release through Stone Throw Records October 14th.
