Tour preview: Live_Transmission – Joy Division Reworked

Live_Transmission: Joy Division Reworked, a celebration and re-imagination of the works of Ian Curtis and Joy Division through an audio-visual extravaganza, has been commissioned for a full UK tour after amazing crowds at last year’s Brighton Festival. A jaw-dropping ten minute sneak preview available now:

Created through a collaboration between electric composer Scanner (aka Robin Rimbaud) and the Heritage Orchestra, a collective who pride themselves on left-field pieces and working with experimental artists, Live_Transmission: Joy Division Reworked is poised to be an incredible experience. The show recently made its international debut at the Sydney Opera House.

Taking full inspiration from Curtis and  Joy Division whilst avoiding a shameless copy-paste of their work, the ten-minute preview is a furious orchestral barrage of noise that possesses the unmistakably dark and brooding Joy Division sound. A particular highlight comes with interjecting horns before the instantly recognisable bass into to Transmission begins, cue high-raising en masse.
