Kompakt to open Berlin pop-up shop

To celebrate their 20th anniversary legendary electronic label Kompakt are set to go on tour with their record store, establishing a series of temporary pop-up shops around European key cities including Geneva, Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin.

Kompakt will join forces with Torstrassen Festival and music software company Ableton for the Berlin leg of the tour, with the store being placed in Ableton’s huge headquarters. The week long event, which will be the first time Ableton has opened its doors to the public, will include a series of events, presentations and shops (including exclusive vinyls).

Local Berlin musicians will also play during the week-long event and encourage participation in workshops. Kompakt’s Berlin store will be open 31st August – 7th September (closed Sunday). More information and a full run-down of events can be found on the Kompakt website.
