Introducing: Aloa Input

Aloa Input, a three-piece consisting of Cico Beck (aka Joasihno), Marcus Grassl and Florian Kreier, are the latest signings to Morr Music. The trio have an obnoxious love for all kinds of input; Animal Collective, Beck, The Beatles and Ennio Morricone. Their debut full-length album, Anysome, presents the results of their filtering, absorbing, synthesising and reconstructing musical processes. Their music is bursting with good hooks and hypnotic singing, all neatly placed on top of minimalist basslines and solid percussive work.

Below you can be formally introduced to Aloa Input, through one of their YouTube videos, while the countdown for the release of their debut album continues. It is clear the album has been carefully curated, as the trio have incorporated intros with a handful of interludes to help create a structured musical journey throughout. Through careful mixing and arrangements, tracks such as ‘Chasing Shades’ and ‘Another Green World’ [presumably named for the Eno album - Ed.] have a sense of uncontrollable mischief to them. ‘Clouds So Far’ is less colourful and the vocals on ‘Radio’ are almost robotic and really continue the sense of fun throughout the album. Needless to say, Aloa Input have produced a sublime debut, and Notion is a big fan already.
