Preview: Ping Pong Collaborates with the V&A

Stylish restaurant, Ping Pong, has collaborated with the V&A to create artistic cocktails inspired by Wang Mian’s plum blossom painting and the Silk Road city of Dunhuang. This winter, the cocktail menu will include drinks inspired by Masterpieces of Chinese Painting 700 – 1900 exhibition at the V&A. As you can imagine, the cocktail selection consists of an array of intoxicatingly delicious elements.

Some of the highlights include a Plum and Liquorice sour, inspired by Wang Mian’s ‘Fragrant Snow at Broken Bridge’ from the Yuan Dynasty (1271 – 1368) which feature his distinct style of painting plum blossoms. There is also a Smoked Apricot and Spicy Almond, inspired by Apricot Peel Water, a popular drink in Dunhuang, a remote region in Northwest China which was the gateway to the ancient Silk Road.

The cocktails are accompanied by a special V&A set menu, which features many Ping Pong signature dishes as well as the new delicate steamed squid dumplings wrapped in translucent pastry. Yum!
