BEAUTIFY: Products of the Week

The products we just HAVE to tell you about this week: aka the ones our team uses on a daily basis.

You might have seen on the Notion Instagram that we were very impressed indeed with the packaging from Verso Skincare. Having recently started being stocked on Net-a-Porter, you know this is a brand you’ll have to try out sooner or later. We went for sooner and got our hands on the Super Facial Serum. With a patented ingredient – Retinol8 (the first version of miracle skincare ingredient retinol that can be worn in sunlight) it’s certainly something to shout about. The serum is almost as thick as a cream and melts into the skin, it has anti-ageing properties but is also great for treating the odd blemish. I’m sold (and stocking up).

What’s more- it works even better when it’s paired with our new favourite foam cleanser from Nivea that gets all the dirt and make up from your face without drying it out, thanks to the heavy dose of Vitamin E.

Everyone’s hair has been drying out since the heating has been turned on. Our go to product is Unite’s Luxury Intense Mask. It nourishes and puts moisture back into our more than ratty hair- and is especially good if you’ve got dyed hair that needs an extra wollop of moisture.

Staying on the topic of hair (can you tell someone is still getting used to newly short hair?) – I’m head over heels for Bumble and bumble’s Dryspin Finish spray from the Thickening range. I thought this would be like using those mini pots of dry-shampoo-come-hair thickener which actually feel more like sugar than anything else. However, this is really easy to use thanks to the fact it’s in spray form, and sticky enough the allow you the jujzz your hair up throughout the day- but not so much you feel like you need to wash your hair already. (NB: even a BOY noticed the difference in my hair, now that’s saying something!)

Last up for Products of the Week is a surprise favourite. From Liz Earle comes nail colours. I’ve been wearing Grace all week and have had people commenting on my nails ever since with ‘Ooh is that Essie’ etc. No – I tell them – it’s Liz Earle actually and I’m proud. Next week I’ll be painting on Quicksand and hoping for a similar effect.
