BEAUTIFY: Smell you later

… that’s what I say to my beloved collection of candles when I leave the house everyday. (Not *at all* inspired by the Fresh Prince of Bel Air Theme…)

I love candles. And chances are- you love candles. I like buying them, looking at them, taking them out of their packaging, finding a spot on my shelf for them, lighting them, instagramming them… and smelling them. Breathing in their warmth and feeling like life is okay after all.

A candle is always top of any wishlist (Christmas, birthday, random present winkwink….) and I’ve found it’s often a safe gift choice to give to others aw well. That’s why below you’ll find the best candles to make someone sniff this Christmas;

diptyque candle noisetier

No doubt the top of any candle lovers list… anything Diptyque. Noisetier smells woody and warm. If you want something with a little extra festive twist, then check out their Holiday Collection Light & Colour range.

If you want an all round pleaser that won’t break the bank- pick up Aveda’s Give Warmth candle that smells like Christmas incarnated thanks to it’s ginger aroma.

However, if you do like breaking the bank for Christmas, then I hugely suggest getting yourself (or others) the new Cire Trudon candle, Bartolomé. It’ll flood your home with the warm scent of the Caribbean- plus it last up to 60 hours.

If you want a little something different- a little dramatic perhaps- then head for Atkinsons 1799. The classic Old Bond Street brand brings you rather sexy, engraved all black candle. Roar.

Get super festive and scent your entire home with Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s scented set of tree holiday candles. These are a great buy for whoever is hosting the big day. Plus I love the design on them.

Now if you’re looking for a candle that it more than just a candle, Janjira’s Therapy Massage Candle is what you need. This candle turns into warm massage oil (beeswax and coconut oil to be exact) when lit, and is easily poured out so it doesn’t get everywhere. This is a good for one couples, just make sure that’s the last you hear of it.
