BEAUTIFY: Radiant Orchid for 2014

As you know, sometimes here at Notion, we like being a little tedious. Or rather, making tedious links that generally make us have the LOLZ. This is one of those.

A couple months ago the Gods-of-all-colour-based-things, Pantone, named Radiant Orchid (posh name for purple) the ‘colour of 2014′. Cos every year has a colour, duh. So of course this meant we had to compile an extremely serious list and take pretty photos of all the purple beauty products you simply MUST own this year.

Make up! From lavender nails to so-90si-it’s-right purple powdery eyeshadow.

Eyes: Chanel Illusion D’ombre in Diapason (from the new Spring 2014 collection!), Chantecaille 24Hour Waterproof Eyeliner in Orchid ,£22, ButterLONDON Wink eyeshadow in Indigo Punk, £14 , Clarins Eyeshadow in Vibrant Violet, £13,50, Estee Lauder Five Colour Eyeshadow Palette in Velvet Orchids, £36, Laura Mercier Stick Eye Colour in Orchid, £20.50.

Nails: ButterLONDON Nail Lacquer in Scoundrel, £12, Leighton Denny Limited Edition Collection Nail Colour in Tempt Me, £11.

Lips: The one and only Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy in Insolent Plum, £24.

Smell good in purple in 2014!

Carolina Herrera CH Sublime, 50ml for £54

Jo Malone Wild Blueberry Cologne, £78 (Hey! Come on, it’s kinda purple…)

Okay, this is when things really get silly. It’s all about the packaging and really nothing less to do with the product. Deal with it, it’s 2014.

Creme de la Mer, The Mist, 100ml for £50 because life’s not worth living without La Mer.

TIGI Bed Head Superstar Queen for a Day Thickening Spray, 300ml for £11. This is actually a great product, with a silly name. Which means it’s even greater.

TIGI Hair Reborn Sublime Smooth Shampoo, also fab (and purple, obvs).

Elemis freshskin Skin Glow Exfoliating Face Wash, £12. Need to be clean and glowing this year.

Roger & Gallet Ginger Perfumer Soap, £6.
