Oneshot: Boxfresh Photography Competition

2014 is the year that iconic British street wear brand Boxfresh will be celebrating its 25th anniversary (already!). The London born label will be hosting a number of events; including parties, raves, and exhibitions with special guests MJ Cole, Wookie, and Josh Stika already having been confirmed. However, the celebrations will be kicking off this month with a photography competition aptly named One Shot, at the end of which not only will a winner be crowned; the official Boxfresh photographer will be selected by an expert panel and offered a job as the brand’s in-house photographer!

The entry requirements are straightforward: entrants will be required to submit five original photographs that are understood to epitomise Boxfresh’s passion for youth culture, style, and music, with supplementary text explaining the reason behind each shot and the techniques/camera employed. The expert panel—consisting of world renowned underground culture photographer Ewen Spencer, the Telegraph Magazine’s director of photography Cheryl Newman, and Boxfresh’s Head of Global Marketing Jade Garrow—will then shortlist 5-6 entrants and invite them to the company headquarters in London. After six weeks, entries will close and the public will be asked to vote over the course of a week with the winner being announced on 14th March 2014—in addition to being given a £500 bursary! To enter, simply visit the Boxfresh Facebook page or the Talenthouse website.
