News: Cheyne Walk Brasserie x Meringue Girls

Us Brits love a cuppa, especially when it’s surrounded by ceremony. Our perchance for the hot beverage knows no bounds. Much like Lady Mary and the Dowager Countess of Grantham, we all enjoy a bit of Afternoon Tea. There is a certain elegance attached to the tradition, and you’ll often find many a society soiree centered around it.

The Cheyne Walk Brasserie, tucked away in Chelsea, has approached Afternoon Tea a little bit differently, adding a bit of French magic to the experience. And now, they’ve teamed up with Hackney’s Meringue Girls. Afternoon Tea at Cheyne Walk consists of three tiers that includes fancies inspired by the Brasserie’s French heritage, all accompanied by a glass of Champagne Thiénot Brut and a choice of 12 different. The usual British delicacies appear, yet they’ve been given a little twist, while melt-in-the-mouth meringue from the Meringue Girls includes flavours such as ‘Cheyne Chocolat’ and ‘French Martini’, exclusively named for the Brasserie. There are also savoury finger sandwiches on offer, such as ham hock and homemade dijon mustard, mediteranean vegetables with pesto and Smoked Salmon and chive cream cheese.
