PLANETNOTION TELEVISION!
CAMERA-FOLK AND FILM EDITORS WANTED!
Planet Notion is looking for guys and dolls to film and edit features for its new TV channel, PNTV. Accompanying Notion to artist interviews, gigs, fashion shows, festivals and international events, you will be skilled, passionate and full of ideas about how to produce shit-hot video content. Camera-folk will be experienced and ideally have their own equipment, or at least access to equipment, while editors must be able to turn projects around quickly, and with stylistic flare. If you can both film and edit content, we would especially like to hear from you! These casual, unpaid positions would be ideal for those looking to develop their showreels, and to get the chance to travel, film major artists and top events.

Chaotic yet ambient electronic workings

Following the release of last year's astounding 'Body Riddle' album, Warp release an EP of 'reinterpretations' of Clark’s chaotic yet ambient electronic workings. After the recent indie-rock leanings of the label in the shape of Maximo Park and !!!, it's a joy to see the honchos at Warp focusing on the calibre of electronic artists that made them so popular to begin with.

Kicking off with the beat-laden original, 'Ted' throbs with pulsating bass pads, jumbled drum samples over a steady hip-hop beat and synth effects reminiscent of 'Music Has the Right to Children' era Boards of Canada. An exhilarating start is followed by the beautiful folk tinkling of Bibio's remix, with a simplified mix of acoustic chords being accompanied perfectly by the faint yet impassioned keys. 'Bruise Animations' mixes loose, stumbling percussion with a drunkenly tragic melody of filtered brass samples and mournful acoustic guitar, whilst 'Mia Farrow' provides the listener with spookily emotive 'kid-playing-a-piano' noises and shivering laser styled synths. Though possibly not to everyone's taste, but especially with the suitably titled 'Cremation Drones,' Clark has put out an unpredictable and aurally spectacular EP that shows his obvious talents to the fullest. Classically Warped!
