Paradise Lost follows the familiar pattern of films like Wolf Creek and Hostel - young backpackers, exploring a country they're unfamiliar with, get murdered. The film is shot entirely in Brazil in the lush jungles and gorgeous beaches of Ubatuba. For much of the screening all I could think about was how much I wanted to go there until about an hour in, when a girl is strapped to a table and has all her organs removed, at which point I went off the idea.
