PLANETNOTION TELEVISION!
CAMERA-FOLK AND FILM EDITORS WANTED!
Planet Notion is looking for guys and dolls to film and edit features for its new TV channel, PNTV. Accompanying Notion to artist interviews, gigs, fashion shows, festivals and international events, you will be skilled, passionate and full of ideas about how to produce shit-hot video content. Camera-folk will be experienced and ideally have their own equipment, or at least access to equipment, while editors must be able to turn projects around quickly, and with stylistic flare. If you can both film and edit content, we would especially like to hear from you! These casual, unpaid positions would be ideal for those looking to develop their showreels, and to get the chance to travel, film major artists and top events.

SATURDAY 7 APRIL: Those guys at Issst have got it all. Secret locations. Top quality line-ups. Cool posters. Trendy following. Funcktion 1 sound system. Compilation CDs. The f**kers. Following their horrendously successful New Years Eve party with Tiefschwartz and Klaxons, Bobby and Kevin are back to put on what’ll surely be one of the nights of the year. With the cross over between club and indie music still going strong, and half of Shoreditch dressing like they’re in a new rave band (surely one of the laziest names for a musical sub-genre for quite some time) - it's strike while the iron's hot time for Issst, and they seem to be doing this to devastating effect. Headlining is the almighty Trevor Jackson, who will be bringing his trademark shades and a box full of recent productions and former Output glories. Supporting will be Phones, otherwise known as Paul Epworth, the man responsible for putting the dancefloor into debut albums by Bloc Party, The Futureheads and The Rakes. Expect a varied selection of filthy electro and indie-tinged loveliness to enthral us all. Fuckpony will be fucking a pony live on stage. Oh no, they'll be demonstrating their stripped-back techno appeal live on stage, sorry. Plus recent Herbal visitors Franz & Shape will be playing tracks from their 'Acceleration' LP. Oh, and of course Kevin Griffiths and Bobby M will be gracing the decks themselves. I’ll be standing at the back scowling and pretending not to be enjoying myself. ISSST PRESENT: KULT OF ISSST A SECRET WAREHOUSE, LONDON SATURDAY 7TH APRIL DOORS: 10PM – 6AM Tickets: £18 / £10 beforehand (available from Ticketweb.co.uk) Words: Louis Cook

SUNDAY 8 APRIL: REWIND SELECTAH!!! And other such drum n bass clichés. Primal return to the mighty Turnmills on April 8th for an Easter holiday blowout that will provide connoisseurs of tight breaks and rolling bass with some of the finest talent there is. After a highly successful 2006 with the likes of Jenna G, Marcus Intalex, London Electricity, Total Science and the genius that is Calibre gracing the stage, the classy D n' B crew have pulled out all the stops to bring an utterly first rate line up to the table. Lovers of the smoothness should head straight to Room One where LTJ Bukem will be representing all things Good Looking, Fabio will be dishing out his liquid funk and the stupendous Patife will be spraying everyone in his own brand of Latin American loveliness! These scene stalwarts will be joined by Conrad, the legendary Cleveland Watkiss and MC Fats on microphone duties. All sets are 2 hours so you know things are going to get as deep as a really, really deep thing. Followers of the slightly harder step should head to the Red Room for a truly mouth watering combination of back-to-back sets from 4 of the scene's dons. Andy C (or 'The Exterminator' to his fans) will be playing a rare back-to-back set with Randall. That means not one, but two of the most technically gifted DJs around playing out together for your sheer, unbridled entertainment! Representing the west coast bass obsessives will be Full Cycle's hit laden duo Krust and Die, joined by the dextrous vocal talents of Dynamite to supply their minimal, rolling stylings. And that's not all! The mighty A-Sides will be mixing up some grade 'A' (haha) business whilst the first lady of Metalheadz, Storm, will be bringing her own bag of dubplates to keep your head nodding and your feet moving. GQ, Wrec and Stirlin will be wagging their tongues all over this lot's selection in a filthy yet strangely rhythmic manner. Finally, the Old School Room will have the finest in classic beat patterns for your perusal, with Dillinja knocking out an exclusive Blue Note set, Kenny Ken rolling out a '94 jungle set, Doc Scott getting all ’92 on your ass and Dom & Roland taking you back to his celebrated Industry sound. MC Rage, MC Bassman and Man Parris will be reminding you what you were doing back in the day! For those of you wanting a respite, this will come in the fine shape of the Jacked crew holding down room four with some real Detroit house, funk and soul. Do we have space for another D n' B cliché? Of course we do - RRRAVING CREW INSIDE!! Ahem. PRIMAL – EASTER SPECIAL TURNMILLS, 63B CLERKENWELL ROAD, LONDON. EC1 SUNDAY 8TH APRIL DOORS: 10PM – 6AM Tickets: £12 in advance / £15 on the door

SATURDAY 31 MARCH: I was going to write a whole load of condiment puns here due to Citybreaks taking place at Jamm, but then realised that would have just been shit. So before you get in a pickle, here's a little synopsis of all the breaks action at the latest Jamm spread. This looks like it’s shaping up to be a right old knees up – in room one we have the Breakfastaz boys continuing to establish themselves as one of the scene's major players, following the launch of their own label, The Breakfast Club. Helping the boys munch down their cereal will be the hotly tipped Devil's Gun, whose mix of breaks, electro and sleazy rock should please anyone in possession of a pair of ears. Freshold will be making the tea and serving up some deftly blended breakage business in the lead up to the launch of his debut single 'Bring It On'. Room two will be hosting the launch of Mancini’s new EP, so expect live electronica goodness, served up with freshly squeezed juice. Support comes from Drum Monkeys and ones to watch for 2007, Far Too Loud - so all in all a line-up to get you salivating! Now, who left the milk out? ARCHANGEL BREAKS PRESENTS: CITYBREAKS JAMM, 261 BRIXTON ROAD, LONDON SW9 6LH SATURDAY 31ST MARCH DOORS: 9PM - 6AM Tickets: £10 / £8 advance

SUNDAY 1 APRIL : Now, if you've not heard of this lot where the fuck have you been?! No seriously, what are you, a fucking agoraphobic? Stop sitting at home watching Eastenders (it's shit now - bring back Zoe Slater), stop pretending you’re not terrified of wide open spaces and start celebrating the resurrection of Jesus in the way the beardy one would have wanted - by getting messy to one of the greatest live acts in the UK! Never practising, never recording and certainly never handing anything over to a record label, for The Bays, 'performance is the product'. So for a whole day Koko will be overrun by some of the finest faces in electronic music, churning out superb performances and DJ sets galore. Having organised the event themselves, The Bays themselves will of course be performing, but will be joined by some of their highly talented friends including Tom Middleton’s live project AMBA, Max Richter, Jon Hopkins, John Metcalfe and Digitonal. DJ sets will be provided by the fantastic Plaid, Mixmaster Morris, AJ, Nick Luscombe, Ben Eshmade and Big Chill founder Pete Lawrence. So that’s several floors and ten hours worth of cutting edge music - if that doesn’t get you out the house then you better bosh some anti-depressants, because I certainly can’t help you. THE BAYS ALL DAYER KOKO, 1A CAMDEN HIGH STREET, NW1 7JH SUNDAY 1ST APRIL DOORS: 2.30PM - MIDNIGHT Tickets: £20 (available from Ticketweb and Koko box office)
