PLANETNOTION TELEVISION!
CAMERA-FOLK AND FILM EDITORS WANTED!
Planet Notion is looking for guys and dolls to film and edit features for its new TV channel, PNTV. Accompanying Notion to artist interviews, gigs, fashion shows, festivals and international events, you will be skilled, passionate and full of ideas about how to produce shit-hot video content. Camera-folk will be experienced and ideally have their own equipment, or at least access to equipment, while editors must be able to turn projects around quickly, and with stylistic flare. If you can both film and edit content, we would especially like to hear from you! These casual, unpaid positions would be ideal for those looking to develop their showreels, and to get the chance to travel, film major artists and top events.

Lock n Load for a Swedish House Mafia attack on KOKO, March 23rd
05/03/2008
Lock n Load are firing DJ luminaries at yah from all angles on Easter Sunday with an exclusive show at Camden’s KOKO, featuring the dancefloor grooves of Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell.

The Swedish House Mafia (SHM) is a somewhat fitting name for the boys, what with a style that makes Ikea look like Poundstretcher, a unique sound and their geographical location.  If you’re looking for solid-proof of their ability, then read-on and weep!

Firstly, there’s Steve Angello whose compilations (including his Subliminal Sessions mix), killer singles and remixes for the likes of Moby, Royksopp and Goldfrapp have had hips a’shaking and bones a’grinding for donkeys years.  Not only that, but record label Size is one of the front-runners on the house scene; no mean feat in these days of wank-compilation overload!

Anyway, Steve’s résumé doesn’t end there, oh no. Balancing his label with a residency at Ministry, Mr. Angello’s latest sample creation delves into the groovy realms of funk and soul.  ‘Buy Now – Bodycrash’ is a colab between Angello and fellow SHM member Sebastian Ingrosso.  It’s so ruddy great Erol Alkan has made his own edit of the groove-tinged number, which is kind of like Gordon Ramsey referring to you as ‘big boy’, complementing you on your Shepherd’s Pie and sprinkling it with some fresh black pepper. I love food analogies.

When you get the SHM together it’s a different ball-game entirely. Sebastian Ingrosso, along with Angello, has played at iconic venues including Ibiza’s Pacha, whilst Axwell is one of the most in demand re-mixers around.  His reworkings include Faithless, Nelly Furtado, Pharrell and Hard-Fi; so you do the math!  Oh, and fellow member Henrik B, will be offering support with some gut-busting ‘techno-techno-techno’!

Finally, Queenz of Noize will be bringing their monster mash-ups to KOKO, supplying the masses with all manner of mental manifestations.  The fun’s never ending with Lock n Load; we’re talking “Lock, Stock the fuckin’ lot!’  Easter Sunday doesn’t get any better!
