It’s London Fashion Week this month. Gok Wan will be having a big wank over a hat that looks like a Panda; Trinny and Susanna will be fingering themselves over a jacket made of poppadoms; Planet Notion will be drinking beer and watching football… before heading to this massive closing party! [possibly]
It’s going to be taking place at EGG, London and as well as live music from top DJs and the like, fashion boutiques from Brick Lane will also be setting-up shop. You know Brick Lane, right? It’s where it’s at. Whatever it may be... If that isn’t enough to get you wet, there’s also going to be free cocktails from 9.30 – 11.30. Now you’ve got our attention!
The terrace floor of EGG will welcome Kenny Hawkes, a House DJ whose ability on the decks has remained consistent even as fashion changes around him. Kenny plays across the boundaries of House, with minimal techno, Detroit techno, modern soul and everything in between, incorporated in his sets. Planet Notion has been told that he’s the shit. As in really good shit. Kenny will be joined by resident EGG DJs and Sophie Belluka Sparks.
Elsewhere in EGG, the basement will be taken over by Italian promoters Summer Time Global. This means even more House music, which is either a really good or really bad thing depending on your perspective. Summer Time Global will welcome sets by DJs Marc Antona, Rico Casazza, Giorgio Gatti (AKA Josko) and Cartman. There’ll be electro and house and stuff as Blue Print take over the loft, welcoming DJs Simon Lawrence, Kosmetiq and guests…
So there we have it. A night of music (predominantly House) with a nod to the world of fashion – with lavishly arty and splendidly fashionable décor throughout - truly befitting a London Fashion Week closing party. Plus you can buy a nice beanie or a pair of chiffon knickers or something while you’re there. Bonus.
