THURSDAY 3 MAY: Contemporary urban art, moving image and cutting edge beats are on the agenda at Planet Patrol at East London's Cargo.
The 'Planet Patrol Sessons 1' will present Radio One favourite Culprit 1 performing his experimental yet accessible beat-fuelled symphonies live. After being compared to big names from DJ Shadow to The Chemical Brothers, a new blueprint is being created for 21st century electronica and we suggest you get down there to witness it happen!
In support, Boombox DJ Mole and Tokyo's finest Ava will be laying down some rather deep breaks and house to coincide with the release of their new mix competition 'More Boom For Your Box', whilst Jonesy will be whipping up stupendous eclectic sets. Dante Gabriel will also be dropping in some funky funky tunes to rock the dancefloor!
The infamous Yard area will be hosting a whole lotta stenciling, spraying, painting and scrawling onto large wooden panels with Eelus (famed for his Star Wars 'Shat-at & Chewbaber' prints), Adam Koukoudakis (who appeared in Arena's '365 things that will rule 2007') and legendary games designer and illustrator Dan Malone. A very limited amount of original art high quality prints will be sold on the night, with each getting signed, numbered and stamped by each of the artists.
Some serious VJ action will also be happening inside the club from Rep308 Tactical A/V Unit.
Make sure you get there early!
