BE AND ACTH PRESENTS BLOOMSBURY BALLROOMS II: FEATURING MYSTERY JETS AND FRIENDLY FIRES
12/11/2007
One thing to warm you up as the winter months close in is the thought of BE teaming up with Camden’s very own Adventures Close To Home for a night of festive debauchery as they return with their own rock ‘n’ roll electro circus - Bloomsbury Ballroom II.

Fresh from recording a second album, featuring collaborations with electrolyte extraordinaire Erol Alkan, prog rock favourites Mystery Jets are headlining following a tour of the states with Mercury winners the Klaxons, and will be showcasing new tunes to the Bloomsbury faithful.

Also on the cards are Friendly Fires with their mish-mash of electro funk beats, which went down a storm at this years Bestival, as well as highly acclaimed DJs Skull Juice; a new breed of DJs tearing the walls of their illustrious booth down and unleashing a smash-and-grab technique of the finest electro-grime badness.

Added to the bill, and with a single due out on Adventures Close To Home in 2008, London four-piece Stricken City will be showcasing their talents. Expect heavy-reverb-fuelled riff-driven indie pop, with an attitude to match.

Add to this a host of DJs mashing things up to fuck on the decks in the shape of Anna Wrecks It &
Captain Magic, Playdead and David H, and Bloomsbury marque deux has all the promise of a fantastical night of wonder! Oh, and ACTH will be supplying the masses with the usual blend of acid house, rock and disco.
