 The end of an era is upon us. A final farewell. Con te Partiro… Time to say goodbye. Yep, The Cross is due to be bulldozed in the New Year after 14 years of clubbing euphoria, and Club Azuli plan to make their final two nights at the legendary establishment a send-off to remember.
The world renowned D. Ramirez will be headlining the main room on December 15th adding his usual eclectic house mixes to the Crimbo festivities. Meanwhile the man, the myth, the MBE – Norman Jay - will be supplying legendary funk beats and soul-tinged mixes to the carnival atmosphere in the lounge.
Supporting the Jay man will be dirty house crew Twisted Funk along with Togetherness, Rob Marmot, DJ Marble, Ed Rockstar, The Catz, and Club Azuli main man David Piccioni. Well, tis the season to be jolly after all.
As the last of the leftover Turkey surpasses, the 29th of December witnesses Club Azuli bid farewell to Saturdays at The Cross. But don’t go exchanging glow-sticks for hankies; with the customary blend of filthy house, electro grooves, soul and funk, this shall be a night to remember.
Anglo Italiano duo Audiofly will be headlining, with support coming courtesy of like-minded DJ/producer Ricky Montanari, and one of Azuli records finest: Kamisshake – delivering twisted house and hypnotic, sexy beats.Furthermore, the legendary Danny Rampling – yes, Danny Rampling - will be holding up the Marquee.
Bidding a very rare and very special cheerio to The Cross; Dan the man will entertain the throbbing masses with 15 years of club classics, whilst digging their heals into club nostalgia will be darlings of the Azuli, Tony English and Marc de Groot. Oh… and Jimpster will be freestyling his shiznit in the lounge supported by Sean Brosnan. The Cross: Oh how I’ll miss thee!
