| Cream Boxing Night 2007 @ Nation |
| 18/12/2007 |
![]() No sooner has the mulled wine been downed, the turkey ingested and the crackers… err cracked, then Boxing Day comes along and it starts all over again. Well this year, as an alternative you can give the stomach a daytime rest, leave the left-over sarni’s to the rest of the family and hit Cream for their Boxing Night 2007.
Following on from the esteemed club night’s 15th birthday shenanigans in November, the newly crowned number one DJ Armin Van Buuren makes a welcome return to Nation.
The trance DJ and producer will be taking to the decks in the main room, fresh from a sell-out tour of multi-capacity stadiums. Despite this being a far more intimate affair, with untouchable mash-up skills and epic sets, Nation is sure to reverberate to the floor-filling sound of the Dutch maestro.
Joining Van Buuren will be fellow Netherlands descendant Sander Van Doorn, one of the latest of the Dutch imports to carve a name out for himself with his tech/trance combos.
These sets usually include a mixed, stirred and shaken array of influences; hence why Sander was recently voted No.15 in a recent poll of top DJs in the world right now. Joining the fellow countrymen will be DJ Remy, and Cream luminary Gareth Wyn. Everyone’s a winner!
If that wasn’t enough to set the ‘ol pulse racing, over in the Courtyard shenanigans will be cranked up to the max with Cream favourites the Swedish House Mafia. The house holy trinity of Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso have built-up quite a reputation over the years, spinning a yarn that even the most brazen house sceptic has taken note of. Joining the Mafiosi will be regulars on the Cream circuit, Lee Ellis and Anthony Probyn.
Furthermore, with over eight hours of top talent, the Annexe will be treated to the awesome D. Ramirez, voted 2007’s best producer and British remixer. The Ivor Novello nominated house/tech extraordinaire will be joined by Tocadisco, Gavyn Mytchel, Sean Hughes and Andy Mac.
Rudolph may have been and gone by Boxing Day, but ‘ol Saint Nic is hitting the streets of Liverpool one year early!
