Jalapeno Sound System. Big Chill House. September 13th.
01/09/2008
I say Potatoe, you say Potato. I say Jalapeno, you say, um, Jalapeno Records. Yes, the little pepper with a big kick isn’t just the number one addition to kebabs up and down the country; it’s also the inspiration behind the name of infamous dance label: Jalapeno Records.

The music is just as sizzling as the chilli pepper, skimming across the boundaries of dance and incorporating everything from funk music to lounge, breakbeat to house, and everything in between. Alas, picture our joy when we learned that Jalapeno Sound System is heading to the Big Chill House on September 13th…

Jalapeno Records’ boss, the formidable Trevor Mac, will be the Sound System resident on the night. The Mac Daddy has already stormed festivals including Glastonbury and Bloom this year, with the upcoming Bestival next on his agenda.

He’ll be joined by soul sensation Ben Westbeech; renowned more as a singer song-writer than a DJ, Westbeech is equally impressive when taking to the decks. No stranger to Jalapeno Records, Westbeech recently scored a hit with ‘Squeeze Me’ alongside label legends Kraak and Smaak.

If that sounds seriously up your street, here’s all you need to know:
