Two months into 2008 and the kings and queens of raving are back in force. We’re not talking a push or a shove here, we’re talking Cupid’s arrow - ‘zzzip’ - straight through the frontal lobes, as Mulletover presents their Anti-Valentines Party!
Picked-up by Dial Records and setting the underground scene alight and with one of the outstanding LPs of 2007 under his belt, Efdemin is hitting Mulletover at their secret hush-hush location for some outstanding experimental techno action. The renowned DJ will be joined by Sian; born in Dublin, raised gypsy style in Spain, this boy will bring you some fresh dubsided avant-garde badness!
Sian’s commitment to his art, accompanied with manic sets and blazing skills behind the decks, have led to this luminary creating his own label… Octopus. Put simply, this double-header in top-secret surroundings has ‘brain’ and ‘frazzled’ written all over it with a 9H pencil. And you wanna know what? Mulletover ain’t finished yet!
T-Bar luminary Gower Ramsey, the man behind the Shoreditch venue’s revered Ditched Disco, will be recreating the usual (and by no means ordinary) buzz, soul and drive of his Friday night sets. The second room will make way for the infamous DFA, with guests including Gucci Soundsystem (Riton and Ben Trucker), who have remixed for the likes of LCD Soundsystem and Tiefschwarz. Expect diverse, twisted-disco; steam-rolling its way through electro merriment and beyond.
Finally DFA’s very reverand Shit Robot, (along with James Murphy, a true pioneer of the NY dance scene) will be joined by new signings Mock and Toof. Alternative, psychedelic and disco mash-ups a-plenty! No need to mull this one over is there? Mulletover looks set to retain its crown as the mother of all underground parties!
