FRIDAY 2 MARCH: Brighton eh? Pebbly coastline, big pier, ice cream, donkey rides - what more could you want? Well how about the launch of Shake at the swanky new Sky Bar? Banish thoughts of bizarre 1950s type holiday experiences with a new night aimed squarely at lovers of disco and soulful house, for those who enjoy their clubbing with less sweat and more style - surely that's a sign of getting old? Anyway, the press release says that the Sky Bar is ‘one of the most sociable, friendly and glamorous bars in Brighton,'with a 'brushed aluminium bar reaching the whole length of the room' - so you can expect to see a few Brighton &Hove players acting all P Diddy in there. Musically however, the launch party features the wonderful Sarah Foote, spinning house and disco classics, with local hero K Sinclair headlining.
