The Gallery NYE. Ministry of Sound. December 31st.

Bloody hell. My mind feels like someone’s dry-humping it with a cucumber. Maybe it’s the liquor and drugs; maybe it’s the 100% pure bull-shit that is life and work and love and money; maybe it’s the fact that it’s almost Christmas and it feels like January.

But wait, my mind has started to re-enter the world of normality and feel happy and fuzzy and warm inside, with the realisation that with Christmas comes New Year… and you know what that means? PARTY TIME, PARTY TIME, PAR-TY TIME!

So here we go. Here’s our first New Year’s Eve preview of the year. It’s taking place at the legendary institution that is Ministry of Sound, and it’s presented by the legendary institution that is The Gallery. You know The Gallery, right? They bring you the biggest in trance/electro/and progressive house that anyone can bring you. Ever!

Kicking off proceedings on December 31st, will be Above and Beyond. If ever any evidence was needed of how fucking massive Above and Beyond are on the trance circuit, last New Year’s Eve saw them play to a whopping one-million people in Rio. They’re also considered one of the best dance acts in the world today, with DJ Magazine voting them number four in their top 100 poll. In the words of the cool kids at school: Nuff said.

Ministry regular Danny Howells, widely considered to be one of the best DJs in the world today, will play an exclusive 3 hour set; whilst Queen of House and Faithless legend, Sister Bliss, will play some new numbers and old familiars as the clock strikes 12. What’s more, Faithless percussionist Sudha will be joining Bliss on the night…

Global Underground familiar, Anil Chawla, will be blasting your ears out your arse with some quality beats, whilst Gallery resident The Viceroy will be joining him on the decks. Over in the intimate surroundings of the Baby Box, big boss of The Gallery (physically as well as practically), Tall Paul, will lead a line-up including Gavyn Mytchel, Tania von Pear, and Gareth Harding.
