For all the house connoiseurs who have been crying like a new born since Twisted Disco called it a day; those who feel that they’ve been losing control ever since; those that have been dreaming of the merry times of old - we have some unbelievable news! Put down that handkerchief; tip that bottle of White Lightning down the sink and clean those tear drenched slacks, because Twisted Disco is back!
Twisted Disco will be making a return on Friday the 25th at their old haunt Pacha, home of London’s biggest and baddest sound system. We’re assured that in the coming months Twisted Disco is going to twist, shake and turn into a far more superior beast to the TD of old. Hell, when you consider that their final party at Pacha saw roadblocks and queues along the streets, we can ruddy well believe it!
They’re going to be kicking off in spectacular style too, having drafted in one of the finest house DJs around. We’re talking about the legendary Jerome Sydenham! Having started his career in the A&R Division of Atlantic Records, and breaking house group Ten City into the public gaze, Sydenham took to the decks after meeting longtime friend and producer Kerri Chandler.
Since then Jerome’s gone on to find success with a whole host of deep house tunes, whilst delving into the realms of hypno-erotic techno and tech-house. In a nutshell, he’s the business, and fully deserves to line-up alongside close pals and collaborators Kerri Chandler and Dennis Ferrer in the house music Hall of Fame. Well, if it existed…
As Gemma Ross, Operations Director at Pacha commented: “Twisted Disco has provided us with some of our biggest parties to date at The Cross and Pacha for the past two years, when we heard that they were planning their last event in March we had to put our foot down and get them back for more!
“We’ve even bigger international stars on the bill each month and shed loads of show stopping production; our resident club night Twisted Disco is back and set to take the roof off (quite literally)!”
If I hadn’t tipped that bottle down the sink I’d be saying: “Here, here, Gemma; here, here!”
