New Years Eve is looking hot, with Turnmills flagship Saturday night party ‘Together’ offering a line-up that’ll leave pulses racing like an Olympic tri-athlete.
Headlining at the esteemed London club for the first time in their career will be maestros of the Belgian groove 2 Many DJ’s. We all know The Flying Dewaele Brothers have been raising the stakes on cross-genre-mashups for some time now, getting international dancefloors pulsating to the boys inimitable mixing style throughout their global Nite Versions tour.
Also performing on the night will be Scotland’s answer to the Chemical Brothers, electro-dance extraordinaire MYLO. A live DJ set from the Scottish luminary is a tantalizing proposition, especially as ‘ol Myles has been laying low since the storm cloud of admiration surrounding ‘Destroy Rock & Roll’ blew the dance music scene apart. MYLO has been working on new material and expectations are high for an airing of new tunes on his Turnmills debut.
Arriving on the back of their December tour supporting the Chemical Brothers are Turnmills favourites Simian Mobile Disco. Having had a successful year supporting Klaxons, the highly-regarded remix duo will be playing an exclusive midnight set at Together. Their last appearance at Turnmills was the toast of the London circuit, and you can expect at least as good when the NYE carnival-clock welcomes the big oh-8!
On top of this triple-whammy of dance-gods will be the Streetlife DJs. Giving those in attendance the opportunity to witness a taste of things to come in 2008. The guys are set to be Saturday regulars for the Together nights next year. With events taking place in the backroom expect a whole host of the together regulatè to join in shenanigans with Turnmills newest residents.
All-in-all there’ll be twelve hours of madness and mayhem, including giant party games and Jelly and Ice-cream to the sound of Together Allstars vs. Hoxton. That means esteemed Together regulars including Justin Robertson, Anil Chawla, as well as the mighty Uncle Buck, Riotous Rockers, Audio Jackers and Devils Gun.
Expect to look back on years gone by with childlike nostalgia as you Play Your Cards Right and munch on jelly, a tear in your eye as Big Ben strikes a chord. Laying bare the sounds of London town will be a whole host of other DJs including Turnmills own Scarlet Pimp, Mannequin Doll, 10:4 Rubber Duckie, Nikolas Esselle, Stylish Riots, Andy Peyton and Fisk. So if the Ice-cream doesn’t get you salivating, the array of acts on offer definitely will. Tasty, tasty, veeery tasty.
