Imagine charging a Turkey Twizzler with 30,000 volts of bombastic electro. ZZZZZAAAAAPPPP!!!
The result would probably be something like Twisted Licks, returning for another injection of filthy electro from some of the biggest movers and shakers around.
This time round they’ll be heading to Shoreditch venue The Last Days of Decadence, on Friday October 3rd.
So who’s going to be there? Here’s a Planet Notion rundown (in no particular order)…
1) The Young Punx: Who sound like rubbing your cock against a loud-speaker whilst it blares out the occasional bleep, cheesy beats and some serious synth action. Nice!
2) Modernaire: Who have received accolades from such esteemed publications as Time Out. Nuff said.
3) The XX: Whose stoner-tinged, electro-dunked pop, has left Planet Notion feeling left in the dark, for never fucking being aware of it beforehand!
4) Skull Juice’s Alex Egan: Which means some seriously twitchy but nonetheless funky electro tunage.
5) Cazals guitarist, Luca C: Who’ll be DJing and all that jazz. He ain’t no small-fry, mutha! He supported da likes’a Kissy Sell Out, bhoy!
6) Ortroka: Whose remixes of the likes of Simian Mobile Disco and Bloc Party, have garnered many a pleasant response
7) And of course: Resident DJs Guy (Fierce Panda) and Tim Fanucci (Standon Calling/Pukka Up).
All together now: THE FUTURE’S DARK, THE FUTURE’S FUCKING TWISTED!
