Ugh. Work. All work and no play makes PlanetNotion want to drink copious booze and vent serious spleen. Thing is, that usually ends in disaster. With us kicking a desk or smashing CDs and being sent home from work; being stopped at the station by police whilst some guy rips an old man’s eye out with a tooth-pick, for failing to show "RESPEC" on the 3.20 to Brighton. That’s the grim reality of modern Britain.
And that’s exactly the kind of sh*t Gallows like to explore! 2009 marks the eagerly anticipated release of the band’s second album. The follow-up to 2006’s ‘Orchestra of Wolves’ has been produced by GGGarth Richardson, who has worked with the likes of Biffly Clyro and Rage Against the Machine.
Rather than bowing down and sucking the cock of Mr. Commercial and his big bag of bunse, the Watford hardcore-punk band will keep to the theme and style that gave them such a loyal following in the first place. Like we expected anything else, right?
We’re talking a ‘kick-in-the-nuts and spit-in-your-eye’ mentality and a feral approach to hardcore punk, exploring the themes of Britain ’09; warts and more warts n’all.
The band will celebrate the album release with a 15 date nationwide tour, traveling everywhere from the Sheffield Leadmill to the London Forum.
