How can people say that darts isn’t a sport?
You hear it all the time. People say: “look at the gut on that fat f*ck, this isn’t a sport. If it was a sport he’d be walking around like Jet Li”.
Thing is, we just played two games of table football, or foosball as it’s better known. Now, some people might say that, like darts, foosball isn’t a sport.
WRONG. Foosball is a sport. Our arse crack has that sweaty smell wafting from it, our pits are rising damp and our curly locks have gone all Einstein on our arse.
So DARTS and FOOSBALL are sports. Both are mentally and physically draining. Terribly so, truth be told. So let that be your first, second, third, fourth – or whatever – lesson of the day.
With school-time over, kids, we now bring you some exciting news about Le Cool presents Le Party at the Queen of Hoxton, London.
The night will feature a selection of DJs, acts and bands, currently hitting it big on the London scene (and beyond) right NOW. In addition, there will be drink giveaways, live arts, babes and bass.
Nice.
Playing on the night will be Terence Teh, Tom McCarthy and Alex Stevenson, who together make-up Patchwork Pirates, a DJ collective who have become one of the biggest names on the London circuit.
DJ duo Slutty Fringe will complete the DJ bill, following a mega year which saw them play with Little Boots and The Klaxons, as well as support Justice and throw their own East-End rave-up attended by over 800 people!
Soul-drenched folk band, Lulu and The Lampshades, are fast becoming big names on the London gig scene, swapping banter and instruments between infectious ditties, for a memorable live experience.
Completing the bill will be Tim Ten Yen, who falls into the kind of lounge-pop bracket. His debut album, Everything Beautiful Reminds Me Of You, received blinding reviews last year.
Plus, his MySpace credits Simon and Garfunkel live in Central Park as an inspiration, which automatically earns him a double positive from Planet Notion.
