![]() A NIGHT OF MUSIC, POERTY AND FILM WITH THE UNVEILING OF
EDWARD LARRIKINS “THE PAN I AM”
Poetry? Why yes squire. Music? Indeed kind sir. A cinematic experience? Why do you tease me so? Tis’ no joke, Blue Flowers have long been promoters of blossoming talent and fresh ideas and make a return on December 9th with a unique blend of readings, music and film.
Ed Larrikin of Larrikin Love fame will be showcasing his hotly anticipated project ‘The Pan I Am’ in a Blue Flowers exclusive. In case you’ve been hiding from the cold for the last few months, ‘The Pan I Am’ are Ed’s side project, and this will be the first ever unveiling.
Of course no night would be complete without ‘ol Larrikin’s good friend Patrick Wolf showing up to deliver some readings along with luminaries such as Polar Bear, Jock Scott and Barnaby Tidman.
Film projections will come courtesy of avant garde king Jona Mekas and his collective Spoolpool adding to the uniqueness of this extravaganza. If such an array of different spectacles wasn’t enough an indoor market with items from the greatest talents in book arts, jewellery and crafts will be taking place inside the Lyric Theatres jazzy compounds.
A second event takes place in a Blue Flowers niche decorated abode, at The George the IV in Chiswick. Amidst the decadent floral interior Blue Flowers will be bringing the best of new Indie talent to the fold.
The soulfoul folk of 19-year-old singer songwriter Adele, who can claim Kid Harpoon as a whopping fan, will be tingling the tastebuds with her Dusty-esque sultry tones. Whilst Bobby Cook will be offering his American physchedlic toons to proceedings, having worked with the likes of Dan Porter and everyone’s favourite Icelandic beauty Björk.
As sizzling as a breast; a Turkey breast… one of the most highly-tipped exports of France, Soko will be showcasing her talents to the masses as they pull some crackers and don their rubber hats.
All in all a fantastic festive offering from Blue Flowers that would have you believe Santa’s come, gone and drank the bar dry. Tis the season to be merry!
