Levi’s OnesToWatch October schedule has been released and 'O' what a line-up we’ve got in store. Following the success of the Levi’s OnesToWatch ‘5 Night Revue’ at the Macbeth, which saw the likes of Metronomy and Foals grace its presence, the 'O' so popular music series will be hitting The Old Blue Last in London.
Armed with his battered acoustic, Derek Meins will be wowing the masses with his whimsical blend of music and poetry. It’s kind of like being in Greenwich Village in the early 60s and stuff; little surprise that James Joyce was a major influence. The folk and blues man has been lauded as a fantastic live performer, and his solo poetry performances are said to be a particular treat. Well worth the admission alone…
Carrying on the acoustic theme will be Josh Weller, formerly of Josh Weller and The Availables (don’t worry, I’ve never heard of ‘em either). Alas, Josh has received plaudits from across the border as a solo proposition, his music a nod to days of yore, all with the eccentric youngster’s own stamp of musical authority. Finally, London five-piece La Shark will be heading to The Old Blue Last. The London five-piece blend quirky beats and music with even quirkier vocal harmonies.
