PLANETNOTION TELEVISION!
CAMERA-FOLK AND FILM EDITORS WANTED!
Planet Notion is looking for guys and dolls to film and edit features for its new TV channel, PNTV. Accompanying Notion to artist interviews, gigs, fashion shows, festivals and international events, you will be skilled, passionate and full of ideas about how to produce shit-hot video content. Camera-folk will be experienced and ideally have their own equipment, or at least access to equipment, while editors must be able to turn projects around quickly, and with stylistic flare. If you can both film and edit content, we would especially like to hear from you! These casual, unpaid positions would be ideal for those looking to develop their showreels, and to get the chance to travel, film major artists and top events.

'Radiohead have made Record Companies useless'
21/12/2007
Muse drummer Dominic Howard has claimed the way Radiohead released ‘In Rainbows’ shows that record companies are "becoming useless".

'In Rainbows' was released on download for whatever price the public wished to pay or deemed worthy. Such was the albums success that it outsold any previous LP release by the experimental-rock band.

“They’re (Radiohead) unsigned,” Howard told the Mirror, “which means that they are in a different position to us, so they can do whatever the hell they want; it’s cool what they did.

“Bands are constantly thinking of the best ways to release music and a band like that doing it on their own shakes up the record companies and helps them realise that they are gradually becoming more and more useless,” Howard continued.

“It’s a great time for music and a great time for bands, but not for the record companies.”

Radiohead are set to for a world tour in May next year, whilst Muse have started work on a new self-produced album.
