01/07/2009 Do you ever get so involved in something (very rarely work related) that you can’t tear yourself away from it, no matter how hard you try?
We’ve found that it usually happens when you’re real stoned. It’s a combination of being engrossed in the TV set and being too lazy to move your arse.
The point is that it can prove to be really dangerous. Well, a bit risky, anyway. Like the other day, for example. We were watching Carlitos Way on ITV4.
Suddenly we realised we were out of booze and needed something for a roach, so we got up for the first time in 3 hours and pissed ourselves. We lost all control!
It was like our body had been relaxed for so long, it had forgotten how to tell us we needed to piss. We made a dash for the sink but it was too late. The damage was done.
Soiled trousers and itchy thighs.
Although we did sit back down and watch the rest of Carlitos Way and, we have to say, it was an excellent film, with Al Pacino turning in a classic performance.
Anyways, the subject of being stoned is by way of introduction to our next news story.
