30/10/2008 The Beatles music may become a feature of computer game Rock Band, according to reports today. Seeing as Apple Corp Ltd wouldn’t allow The Beatles music to be available on iTunes, I’m thinking this could just be a rumour, but who knows?
Reports that Apple Corps Ltd have been in talks with Viacom Inc’s MTV Networks, who develop the best-selling Rock Band and Guitar Hero games, certainly point to it being a possibility.
Apparently, the talks regard (hold the front page) “A GLOBAL MUSIC PROJECT!” This was backed up by the Wall Street Journal, who have reported that The Beatles have almost definitely licensed their music to the game. So it must be true. If the Wall Street Journal says so, it’s as sure as the skid-marks in my pants.
Major bands to have licensed their music to the Rock Band and Guitar Hero franchise include The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and AC/DC. Both Apple Corps Ltd and MTV Networks will be revealing all about their “global music project” at 10am today (American Time). |
