Next year's MTV Europe Awards ceremony will be hosted in Liverpool’s new Echo Arena.

MTV boss Richard Godfrey said:

'It's fantastic to be back in the UK and it's only natural that Liverpool should host the 15th annual Europe Music Awards.'

Avril Lavigne, My Chemical Romance and the Foo Fighters are among the acts performing at this years awards ceremony, set to take place in Munich in Germany on 1st November.

Snoop Dogg is hosting the bash and Justin Timberlake, Amy Winehouse and Beyonce are all up for awards.
