Who The Fuck @ Seone Club
16/11/2006
Always one to have their nose following the unmistakable aroma of fresh talent, on November 16th Notion took a bold step in its quest to support brand new music, with the launch of its new talent showcase - Who the Fuck. Hosted at the mighty SeOne club, and with a stellar line-up of quality new bands from around the UK, the night proved to be a heady concoction of powerful guitar riffs and light orchestral workings.

London-based Members of the Public got things off to a great start with a stomping set of New Wave specialness, with lighters being brought out for a show-stealing mix of tight melodies and keyboard driven angst from Touriste. Heavily supported by former John Peel prodigy Steve Lamacq, this lot are definitely ones to watch for 2007. With the Bacardi cocktails flowing thick and fast, and DJ support from Dave Vega playing indie classics new and old, things were getting rowdy for the angst ridden orchestral leanings of Revere, who turned in an authoritative performance of dark and light post-rock. With the electro-tinged sounds of Lorraine bringing things to a close, the crowd all left with smiles on their faces and a head full of gifted up and comers, with Notion ensuring that no-one will be asking "Who the Fuck?" in the future. Watch out for the next event in the New Year, plus more from the Who the Fuck? crew.
